Size : 1800 Hectares
Location : Eastern Ontario, Canada. 20 km north of Kingston
Of note : Loughborough Lake is the most southerly Lake Trout habitat in Ontario, other than Lake Ontario.
Water Control : The water level on Loughborough lake is regulated by Granite Light and Power Ltd. and the Cataraqui Region Conservation authority. Granite Light and Power ltd. has recorded water levels between 129.95m above sea level (max) and 124.17m asl (min).
Climate : The closest point for which climate data is available is Kingston, Ontario (20 minutes south of Loughborough l.)
The hottest month of the year is July, with a mean temperature of 20.3 degrees celcius. The coldest month of the year is January, with a mean temperature of -8.0 degrees celcius. The mean yearly temperature is 6.7 degrees celcius. The average annual snowfall is 182.6 cm, and the average annual rainfall is 791.4 mm.
